Turn on USB storage on VM

On VM phone I only see option for Media sync (makes PC think you have a MP3 player) or Camera (PC thinks you have a camera) when I connect USB. There is no standard "usb mass storage device" selection, so I can not view files on my SD card. I can see the files on the phone (with a file manager), and I can see the the phones internal storage from a PC but not the SD card on the phone.

I dug through all the pages and didn't see a similar problem.. is it just me that can't read the SD card?

thanx

After you install the lg drivers and plug in usb select media sync and the folder will open on computer showing you both internal and sd card.

Thanx... but I just I figured out my problem. I looked a few minutes ago and now there was the DCIM folder, but nothing else.... so I thought about what changed. Well I took a pic because I was setting up my camera. That new pic was the only thing on the SD card I could see.

So the phone was only marking new stuff for some reason. Well I did turn off "media scanning" yesterday because I was doing so much work on the phone and I hated waiting 15 minutes for the 64G SD card to scan. So I turned the service back on, let it scan.. and problem fixed.

So now there are two reasons to add to this tread to not turn that off
