Help Turn phone on without power button stock evo shift

It seems like the power button is disconnected or nonresponsive. Anyways there is no way to turn on this phone with the power button was just wondering if anyone had any alternatives? I know some other phones have options to do so with the keyboard does anyone know if the Shift can? If so, please tell me how. Thanks guys!!!

Had, this problem with my 2nd Shift. Power button got stuck & phone wouldn't power-on. Sprint couldn't repair, so they replaced it with a refurbished unit, of course.

I am taking the phone in to have it repaired, but a quick fix for me was to 1) remove the battery 2) insert charger 3) reinsert battery. The phone turns on and reboots from there. Just try not let it power off again before you get a chance to take it in hope it works for you.
