Turned Off - Google Pixel

Last night my phone unknowingly turned itself off. I went to bed with around 50%+ battery, and when I woke up, it was off. Just pushing the power button wouldn't turn it back on either. I had to plug the phone in for a couple of minutes before it would come on, and after powering up, it showed around 60% battery. Has anyone had this happen?

I got a Pixel about three weeks ago. My phone just turned off about 10 minutes ago when it had around 15% battery left. This is the third time I've noticed this happening. I found one news article online that briefly mentions this, but that's all.

I have read something about the phone shutting off at 15% or 35%, but mine was around 50%. Strange, and hopefully doesn't happen again.
