Turning Off Cyanogen's Voicemail Texts/Notifications

Greetings
I recently rooted and flashed Cyanogen 7. I want to use Google Voice as my means of managing my voice mail services. I want to get rid of the 9016 texts but have searched multiple sites only to find RedList as the solution. Unfortunately that is no longer a free app in the market. Is there a better solution to get rid of these notifications?
