Help Turning off data

Is there a way to turn off data? On my current phone, the Epic, I can press and hold the power button and a menu comes up to turn off data. Does the Epic Touch have this?

You can turn off 3g - Menu/settings/wireless and network/mobile networks/uncheck 3G. There may be a widget in the market that will also do the same

Thanks. I guess I just need to go in a Sprint store and play with the phone and compare it to the HTC Evo 3D to see which one I will get.

FYI - I also did a comparison between the EVO 3D and Epic 4G Touch - I like the look and feel of the Epic 4G Touch - Gorilla glass is excellent. Now, you may have problems with signal strength/all depends with the Epic and there are differences in management of storage, messaging, widgets, etc. If you can hold off, maybe an LTE phone will be available in the next few months as neither of these phones will utilize the LTE

Good point. I think I remember reading Sprint saying they would release LTE phones in the second half of 2012. So that means any time between July 1, 2012 and December 31, 2012. Maybe I am just cynical, but I would bet more 4rth quarter than 3rd.

Anyway, I don't think I have the patience to wait very long for a new phone ;-)

I don't think waiting for LTE would keep me from upgrading. Just because you have an LTE phone doesn't mean Sprint will have LTE towers yet. I think that will be a while.
