Help Turning off the vibrate notification for email?

On the G2, I get a vibrate every time I get an email in the standard email app. How do I turn this off -- I've tried every (I think) possible setting to make sure the phone doesn't vibrate under any circumstance, but no joy.

And for extra credit, how do I cut and paste in vanilla email? I can do it in Gmail, but no luck in the provided email app.

For gmail: while in the app, hit menu, more, settings, vibrate, then check 'never'.
For the email app: while in the inbox, hit menu, account settings, vibrate, then check never.

I'm not sure if you can cut and paste, but you can copy and paste. Hold the shift key and use your finger or the track pad to highlight text, long press to paste.
