Turning off vibrate while you text

I have turned of the haptic touch, however when I text the phone still vibrates. Since I am an avid texter this has to be killing my battery and can not find a way to turn this off.

Any Suggestions?

is there anyway to turn off vibrate on the 4 lit up buttons (home, menu, back, search)?

I turned off teh keyboard ones but the bottom 4 still vibrate

is there any evidence that haptic feedback kills battery faster? has someone benchmarked the battery life using haptic off vs. on and seen a noticeable difference? it's nice to have a feeling of touch when inputting text. if the difference is something like 18 hours w/off vs 17.6 hours w/on I think it's safe to say it wouldn't matter much.....

I highly doubt its anything amazing , maybe youll get 10% more battery life if you dont but dont quote me , i just dont see it cause much drain... unless your texting 1000 times a day lol

I'm wondering the samething, it's not a real keyboard but the vibration sense does add a little bit to feeling.

How do you turn off the vibrate when you're entering numbers to make a call? It doesn't vibrate when I type to send a text, nor when I hit any of the 4 buttons on the bottom. What am I missing? :)

The pure fact that when you touch the screen the entire phone vibrates means your using up power. I haven't measured it, and I haven't seen an app that does, but I usually text or post on facebook or twitter and that vibrate is going a lot. Not to mention I feel like I'm getting shocked haha
