Turning on randomly

Model: sams gal ace gt-s5830i
version: and. 2.3.6

Has anyone had or know how to repair this problem...?

My phone will keep turning ON. You can turn it off fine, then leave it on the table, and at random intervals ( sometimes 5 minutes later others an hour) will turn on with no one near it.

Once the phone is turned on, it will stay on and work fine. It doesn't loop or turn on and off, it just turns ON and stays on.

Well as no one as answered I'll give a few thoughts.Have you considered rooting the phone to see if that stops the behavior?
