I don't know if the issue is in my phone or in my tablet. My phone is running Jellybean 4.1.2 on a custom kernel that I got from this forum: 3.0.101-MiRaGe mirage@aurora #1 Tue Oct 22 17:41:23 EDT 2013
My tablet is a 2013 Google Nexus 7 (build number LMY47O) running Lollipop 5.1 on kernel 3.4.0-g7597781 android-build@vpbs1.mtv.corp.google.com #1 Thu Mar 12 01:10:18 UTC 2015
I just downloaded Portable Wi-Fi hotspot to my phone to try to make it a hotspot so I can use my tablet on an upcoming road trip. At first, it seems to work because the name I gave it shows up on my tablet's wifi list, and I was able to input the password I assigned, but my tablet seems to be stuck at the "Obtaining IP address..." stage.
Can anyone help me figure out where to go from here?
Thank you.
