The same was happening to my trusty Android (Galaxy Note 4). I bought a new battery, charge cable, factory reset and even beat the power button on the edfe.of a table thinking it.could have dirt in there.
It never cleared up and now the battery dies as soon as the devife is unplugged within seconds. Finally gave up and ordered the Note 8
