Help tv out is not working!

hi i buy cable for tv out for my galaxy s i9000 bet it was not working just big noise and i could see something on tv from my phone but almost nothing it was really bad then i desided to buy samsung cable from ebay original for this phone but it was the same, and couple of my friends have the same problems so what we are doing wrong please help?! thank you

I had the exact same problem. I initially bought a cheap cable from the supermarket for 3$ and had a blurry unwatchable image coming out of my Galaxy S.

Last week I bought the official Samsung cable (about 12$) and the picture and sound are perfect!

but i have the official Samsung cable now but it is the same like the cheap cable

I dont mean to be cheeky, but have you enabled tv out on the phone?
Its right at the bottom of the sound and display menu.
Dont know where you are but you could try pal and ntsc settings in the same menu.

My brother had one of those old nokia cables laying around for the N95 or n96 i think and that works well for that type of standard definition connection.
