tvcatchup

A mate of mine with an iPhone has been showing off a bbc iplayer style web based app but for more channels on http://iphone.tvcatchup.com. Not bad I said, I'll get it playing on my Hero. No you won't was his reply. HELP! I can't let him win. I'm a bit of a noob so any help in this latest battle would be hugely appreciated. Cheers in advance.

This is for more channels than beeb player, which I've got. I'm looking to play from this site.....if possible?

Still looking at getting TVCatchup working on Android. It's completely different to how beebPlayer works, so waiting for info back from them to see if it's at all compatible with OpenCore...

Same here, I would have thought a clever android user would have found a workaround to get tvcatchup working. Lets not give iphone a point against Android.

Would love to see this working on Android. I've more or less abandoned the TV in the corner and just use TVCatchup on my laptop now. I'd have thought .m3u8 would be supported by something on Android, but I've yet to find an app that will support it.

Wow, how is this (desktop) app even free? I would absolutely love this on my hero.

EDIT: Just checked out the forum there, from official posts from one of the devs it seems that they do actually have an android version in some form behind closed doors, but are not as of yet happy enough with its performance to release it to the public. BTW his comments were posted today.

So I'm pretty sure we wont have to wait that long for this!!!! :D

The 'desktop' version is just TVCatchup - Never Miss A Show Again (it's pretty much everything available on Freeview) - the iPhone version is relatively new. The iPhone version has fewer channels.

Sign up is free - I think it's supported through short ads that show each time a channel's loaded.

Can't live without it, personally!

yeah its great, watched it a few times now.

I've no doubt at all that the Android will be a smash hit as the months go by, and we will certainly be supporting it. As I said above, please don't presume that we have been sitting on our hands, we will release applications for various platforms according to demand and only when we are 100% happy as to their performance.

at the present time we are in touch with the top Android developer in developing something special.

Good news :D
