Help Tweak the audio

Question:

Is there an app that will let you modify advanced audio settings or otherwise change the configuration of the ALSA system under the hood? Beyond the basic mixer?

I am disappointed in the performance of my phones audio. For one or isn't loud enough.
In Linux you can do things like change the modulation rate of the PCM out signal. Over modulate the output?

Can this be done in Android

There's Viper's Audio, should do what you require, but your device has to be rooted though AFAIK, i.e. "under the hood".

A phone's audio volume might be purposely capped by the manufacturers, because of EU directives and legislation, multi-million dollar dimwit lawsuits, etc. And that's why you might have to root, to circumvent those limits.

What actual phone have you got, make and model, and are you using the stock headset, or something else? Sometimes large low-impedance headphones, a phone's output might not be enough to drive them with enough power. If so, you may have to use an outboard amplifier.

Thanks for the reply.

Yeah I figured it was a volume limiter or something. Which is ridiculous. My ears.
If I wish to destroy them with " loud music " then that is my choice.
Lol

As for device I'm using the Moto E second gen with 4g LTE. Model XT1528.
My phones are a pair of Skullcandy INK'D earbuds. I think they're 32 ohm but not sure.

I've been using an app to amplify my mp3 files individually but that's not a real solution. All it really does is clip the file and make it sound terrible
