On my Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 the menu button on the bottom (fourth in from the left) has six options: retweet., favorites, lists, Home, SEARCH, and More.
When I hit Search a text box opens on the top of the screen and I fill in what I am searching for
On my HTC One S I get only 4 options when i open the Twicca app.
New Tweet - Mentions - Direct Messages - Refresh Timeline.
It's as though the other options are hidden for some reason.
I remember some months ago there was a fix for my handset to get rid of an ugly menu bar that some apps used to have to use. Could this be a problem and how would i solve it?
Thanks for all ideas, I love the app and just need this function to round it off so that i don't have to use Plume and its columns(although that is really cool too).
I get those four too. But below them on my Optimus V phone and my Samsung tablet there are the Go-back button, next to the Home button, next to the Task Mgr button, and then the ScreenShot button, and then the important one: three horizontal lines stacked. This is the additional items buttons and has the 6 options one of which is SEARCH.
OK. You're right that the V has four buttons at the bottom while your HTC One S has just 3. I assume you have the pdf user manual file for the phone.
If you do then look at page 26 where it talks about how you can take that rightmost "recent apps" button and turn it into a menu button.
If you can get yourself that menu button then you'll use it to do searches with Twicca.
Good luck.
