Twitter app, no account required?

Hey gang. Hoping you can help me out.

I'm looking for a Twitter app that doesn't require a Twitter account. I like to follow certain people like Conan O'Brien, CEOSteveJobs, music groups, etc. and I'd like to not have to sign up for Twitter just to do it. I know I could make RSS feeds and subscribe that way, but it's kind of a pain to do on the phone itself. So, is there anything out there for me?

I'm sure I had an app that could do that. It was called Tweetrait but I've just done a search for it and it seems to have disappeared

I found Tweetrait, it's a widget, and it looked to be what I was looking for, but the widget doesn't resize. So the text is squished and overlapping. Hmmm, might just have to bite the bullet and sign up for a Twitter account. Thanks.

Honestly, how hard is it to sign up for an account? You probably spent 10 times the time searching for an app that doesn't require an account. Just saying, man. It's common sense.

How would you choose who to follow without having an account?

You don't need an account to view tweets on twitter. I follow some twitter feeds via RSS on my email through Godaddy, but that's only on the computer, not my phone. I need something simple for the Droid X. Like I said, I enjoy reading the tweets from Conan O'Brien, CEOSteveJobs, my brother (a musician) and other bands/artists I'm interested in. I can simply google their twitter feed and add the name to the app.

Unless I don't want a twitter account, then that app is worth the hunt! I'm not fully opposed to having a twitter account, and if it comes down to creating one I will, but I'd rather spend the time searching for what I'm looking for than settling for something I don't want. Common sense is rarely either.

I know you can read twitter without an account and that you can search and view specific people via RSS, but I'm not sure how an app would let you select a specific group of people to follow without having an account.

Out of curiosity, what has you so opposed to having a twitter account?

Well, the Tweetrait app, for example, allows this sort of thing. You just have to know the twitter handle of the entity you want to "follow". Type it in and presto, you get subscribed to the feeds. However, Tweetrait is a widget that only follows a single feed and I want something that allows more than one, so that's out. Might just get a simple RSS reader and manually add the feeds from the accounts I want.

I'm opposed to a twitter account because I don't want another account floating out there unless I'm going to use it. I know I can set it to private and not use it, but if there's an app that fits my needs, that's the better option. Plus, I'm afraid that if I do sign up for Twitter, I'll be compelled use it, joining the fold of countless other ordinary citizens with nothing meaningful to say, but still adding pointless drivel to the world on a regular basis. So it's like a moral issue for me.

Wow, the last post was in 2010

I'm hoping there is an app that can do this for open twitter accounts in 2021.

A simple app to view tweets from a specified account that does not have protected tweets

Appreciate anyone pointing me in the right direction, thanks... don't want to create a twitter account
