Help Twitter notifications default

On the Twitter for Android app I notice that my settings to get notifications keep changing. I have to manually check for followers, mentions, etc. I went in settings and changed it to get alerts 'from anyone' instead of getting notifications only from those who follow me. Why is this always changing?

the newest update to twitter screwed up some stuff...are your notificaton alerts the ringtone you set it as or is it using the phones default ringtone? thats the biggest issue im having..i also had to change it to "from anyone" like you did,i wish they would fix everything,this update really screwed things up

Hi, I'm using the default tone. I like unified ringtones for email, alerts and texts etc. Just makes my life easier. But yeah I hate the new updates to Twitter. It used to be a reliable app with minimal bugs. All these little updates are getting on my nerve
