Twitter verification help

I need some help. A few days ago I changed the settings in my Twitter account to that new verification thing. It generated a code and was sent to my email. No problem there.

I flashed a new version of a ROM and all my apps loaded up as usual (I didn't use Titanium Backup). I went to log in to the Twitter app and it said I had to go to the actual Twitter website and generate a code. It won't let me. I don't get any email notification and it won't let me log in from the mobile site, actual computer site or from the app. Any ideas?

I've researched this all afternoon and I still can't find anything to help me.

1) I'm not logged in to my Twitter account
2) when I try and log in it prompts me to use a code that it says was sent to my Twitter for Android app (but obviously I can't get that code since I'm not logged in)
3) I can't see any way around this. I emailed Twitter Support and am still waiting for a reply. Anything I can do in the meantime while I wait?

I'm stumped

However, this looks to be more app related than S3 related, so I'm going to move this over to the application forums where (hopefully) some other twitter users can chime in and get this sorted!
