Help twlauncher problem!!

No need to reset. Only one condition is to have your phone connected and signed in to Google account.
Clean up your Home app data is all you need. You will loose your icons on your Home screen, nothing more.
Step by step:
Use your Google account and login to Android Market web.
Find and install your second Home app by pushing it into your phone from the web. I personally preffer GO Launcher EX.
If installation succeed, lock and unlock or restart your phone. Then you should see the dialog of switcher of default Home app.
Do not set any app as default, you will make it later! Choose your second Home app, and woala, your phone is working again.
Go into the Settings menu and follow: Applications - Manage applications - All and find your primary Home app, wich is Samsung Home in my case.
Tap on this app to get info about it and force it to stop. Finaly clean up the cache and the data.
Now you can use the Home Switcher or the Home Manager app to manage your default Home app.

mm331, A big thanks man. Thought I wasa gonna have to a hard reset. Cheers. :)

Just wanted to thank you for taking the time to post the fix for my Samsung Galaxy S phone. You saved me so much time...Thank you.

Solution of (process com.sec.android.app.twlauncher):
Just turn on your mobile and follow below steps:
- Select the SMS option, goto new message & send "www dot market dot android dot com" to any one.
- Open that sms & click on the same link.
- Follow the URL
- You will see this message: Data connectivity problem --- The server failed to communicate. Try again latter. Press OK button
- Then manually search in Google for Go Launcher Ex & press ENTER
- Press on GO Launcher EX - Apps on Android Market & install Go Launcher Ex
- Open Go Launcher Ex & u will see your Samsung Phone desktop with a new look.
- If u see a pop-up message & after pressing OK it will take you the twlauncher menu reset. First clear the data & then close it.
- You will loss shortcuts only & you have to make shortcuts again.
- Enjoy Both Launchers apps.

Hope it will help all & it is proved. Need ur feedback & also visit me on youtube & face book.

I have a samsung galaxy ace s5830 which, after downloading the Android "WhatsApp" has stopped working and comes up with the message
"Sorry The application Samsung Home (process com.sec.android.app.twlauncher) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again."
"Force close"
I have 'forced close' many times. Switched the phone off and back on many times and taken the battery out and put it back in a few times - i am at the end of my tether, bringing it back to the retailer isn't an option, for a couple reasons, pleas, anybody help me, im lost without my phone.

i am facing "The application Samsung Home (process com.sec.android.app.twlauncher) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again" issue and suggest me. How to solve this?

Thanks.

Hello,

I've got the Samsung Galaxy Ace (GT-S5830). I installed some apps from the market, and received this error:

SORRY
The application TwLauncher (process com.sec.android.app.twlauncher) has stopped unexpectedly.

Wheb i boot my phone, he keeps sending this same errormessage on my screen. I cannot type or move around the menu or settings - Nothing!

I saw that more people had this error on another forums, but never saw a working solution for me. I already tried to reset my phone, didn't work!

What should i do?

Hi,

I got the same error msg and i was in deep trouble.. what i did was simply remove the memory card from the phone and restart the phone...then its start to work fine....

Then i take the backup of all the files to my PC and format the memory card...after that i off the phone and enter the card and start the device again.. everything is fine but i have to reinstall the apps which installed to memory card...

I did this one after trying all the instruction given below..i am sorry to say it does not work with my device.. so i went for this...

Try to do this if u like...

Regards,
Shanaka Silva

Hi mn331,
Can you please tell how to identify the home name of the home screen,
how did you identified that yous is Samsung Home?

Please help me out in this

It's easy, you must go to Android Market in your computer's web browser, sign in to your google account and click on installation of alternative launcher to your mobile. When you connect your phone to internet then, launcher will start installing and you will be able to run it after it.
Another option is to download launcher.apk to your computer and send it via. BT to your phone (but this requires activated 3rd party applications install and you can't reach that option in setup now)... But if you are lucky, you can run the installation right after the file is sent to your mobile and hope it will work.

My launcher broke-up yesterday, today I tried to upgrade firmware, but when it didn't work, i found this and tried. It worked, you just must delete your application data from the launcher app in setup

Good-luck, I hope this one will help...
I also experienced this problem but
i downloaded the Go Ex Launcher which is now working but the Samsung Homepage is still there can you please tell me how to get rid of it,i also tried to check in the Manage applications but i couldnt find the Samsung Homepage

I have a gt-s5830i and I started getting the error (process com.google.android.partnersetup) and (process com.google.android.twlauncher) has stopped unexpectedly. I followed the steps you posted and it did not work(it just shows the same error when I turned on my phone). I already did factory reset and its still doing the same thing. I am getting desperate here. Hope you can reply back and give me other options on how to resolve this issue.

Well a phone can usually work without google apps(gapps), since your gapps have stopped working along with your launcher, you must be getting a blank screen when you turn on the phone with only the status bar on top.
Go to the play store via a computer and install a different launcher, there are several options available, that should atleast get you a working phone.
As for the gapps, i'm afraid i don't know how to solve that without root.

Although there are a few things you can try:
1. Try restarting the phone, the apps might just restart itself.
2. Try undoing the last thing you did before the gapps stopped working.
3. Try wiping some cache through an app or via recovery menu.
4. Try a factory reset, since you are not rooted there is a good chances that it will solve the problem. Backup all your data if you can because the reset will erase everything except for the sd card.
