A friend brought a Samsung Galaxy S SCH-i500 to me to fix since I have rooted plenty of devices. This situation has me stumped though. From what he knows he did, he apparently tried rooting with z4root and then flashed a rom. When phone started acting funny and not letting him do anything (bad rom) he took it upon hiself to delete SU, Busy Box, ClockworkMod, among others. Then did a reset from Samsung recovery menu which deleted all of his accounts. He has no idea what his gmail username or password is so I cannot go to the computer and download a new launcher. Tried to set up new gmail account, but cannot get it to find device, since I can't open market to sign in. The device is stuck in the twlauncher error loop. I can't get to my settings to clear launcher cache, nor can I find out what he has running on his phone (kernal, rom, etc.). I can do voice search to get to google, but with no devices found, that hasn't been much use. What else can I try.
