Help Two copies of same music file shown ?

In my music list on the phone there are two copies of the each song showing. Either "copy" plays fine but there is a different picture for each. When I check in Kies or windows there is only one copy of each song.

Any ideas ?

Thank you. OUB.

Do you have these files in a Ringtones folder? The music player will pick up any music files, not just those in a particular area.

On my GS3 it's the ringtones that show as two different files and they both play normally.
How can I delete one of each??

The question is do you have the same ringtones showing in the music player. If you have them in the media folder for the music player and also in the notification folder for the ringtones they may be pulling from the media folder also.

Whenever you select an mp3 to use as a ringtone, it automaticly gets copied to the system's ringtone folder. Kinda the same as choosing a gallery pic to use as a wallpaper
I dont use the stock music player but if it allows you to choose which folders it reads from/ignores then you could either choose one folder and move all your music into that folder or just tell the player to not read from folders that you dont need it to
