Hi everyone so recently I came over from the dark side, an iPhone, and got an HTC One M8. Well among doing this at a Verizon carrier store I decided wow 100 dollars for an old iPhone 4 sounds good so I traded it in. Unbeknownst to me before trading and allowing her to do the wipe I was suppose to turn iMessage off. So long story short for a while now I have not been getting iMessages from people. I know this is not an apple forum so I will just say that I took trouble shooting steps and called the customer support number and they did everything they could but could not get it to work. While talking to a Verizon representative about changing my phone number she wanted to help with the situation and we started doing troubleshooting steps, which led to restarting my phone after taking my sim card out. While when I hit the tray there was no SIM card in it. The funny thing is up to this point I still had service, and still could get SMS messages and 4G LTE service and could surf the web. I was just wondering how it would be possible for me to get service through Verizon without a SIM card, and would not having a SIM card stop me from getting text messages from iPhone users, because that is how she explained me not getting messages from iPhone users but to be honest she probably just wanted to end the call at that point lol.
