Help Two potentionmeters

Inside the s pen i have seen on videos there are 2 potentionmeters, whats the other one for?
I am gonna contact samsung for a new one tomorrow and taking it into o2 because dont want to break it lol
 
i have seen on one forum that the second one is for the offset however others have said it isnt so i dont know :S
