Two questions about TapFish

Because you're allowed 50 fish per tank. An algea eater is a fish. If you have one algea eater you have one less of your sell fish. 49 instead of 50.

Oh, I get it now. :p

Unfortunately, I can't afford algae eaters. I'm still earning bucks the slow way - and I don't want to spend any more real money than the $20 I've already spent. I'll probably cave at some point and buy some more bucks -that last 60 they charged for the half-black took me forever. But I hate coming home to 33 dirty tanks and hundreds of fish whining to be fed! I could afford to buy a couple of food bricks, but find them so big and ugly. You can't hide them behind decorations and they don't shrink as they are consumed. They just eventually disappear.

I've thought about rooting my phone but find the prospect a little scary. Even if the software allows you to unroot it, if something happens to the screen or the operating system, wouldn't you be s* out of luck?

It looks like the Crocodile thing is only on my Xoom as I see it normal price on my phone. The Xoom stretches the background to the full size of whatever screen, but if I place plants outside of the upper left quadrant you won't see it on your phone (but the background is rescaled to show full background in either mode.) If I change my Xoom to not stretch they don't show up where I placed them either, but the background is still full screen. I'm attaching a pic from your 'Swords' tank here so you can see what it looks like and the area that get's mapped on the phone vs tablet.

It's a bit strange that while my decorations take up about the same amount of space on your xoom screen as they would on my phone, the fish are able to spread out to fill the entire screen..

Royal Gramma, 100k, when sold seperate 126k every 3 days per fish =1.3mil per tank profit. I like it *evilgrins*

Wouldn't electric eel be better?

Electric Eel (High Level)
Cost: 75,000
Adult: 112,500 4 days

Cost for tank: 3,750,000
Individually sold (with 90+% happiness): 6,750,000 per tank per 4 days.
Profit: 3m in 4 days.

It's one of the options that google implemented in the OS for allowing one program for multiple screen size is to make specific items sized based on their resolution (i.e. 1:1 pixel sizing) which they do on the Fish and Decorations, but then other items are scaled to full screen size no matter what, which is what they did w/ the background. This is implemented in 'Stretch to fill screen mode'. Then there's the 'Zoom to fill screen' mode in which it uses the default sizing it was built for and scales everything, including the fish - usually looks like crap of course trying to display a phone app on a tablet using this mode.

It's hard to tell from the pics I posted but it looks really good except for the background which is the one thing that is scaled.

I'm getting a bit burnt out on it, I've got 13 tanks going and the populating a tank taking 1min each is just too long for me to do at least multiple times a day.

I'm pretty sure the issue is w/ the SW and not the tablet. I can bang out 50+ food flakes in a few seconds, but the next egg won't drop until the current egg has hatched which takes about 1 sec, and it only queues up about 8 at a time. Tickling and multi-tapping isn't allowing multiple eggs to be dropped at a time. I know the Xoom supports it, I've used those techniques on other apps.

Taz,
Do you have any foodbricks? Since you have to tap one at a time to buy, you might as well earn some xp by feeding them one at a time.

Treetank...you've done a great job on all 80s tanks! I can't afford all the big bucks fish so don't recognize some things. What do you have in # 72 and in RedOctbr?

I have 32 tanks right now and find them a little hard too keep up with already. Of course it's Mainly because I don't have foodbricks and algae eaters. Wish the food bricks weren't so ugly! - TapRos

Thanks.

Red October is full of Lyetail Hogfish

#72 is a bunch of Borch fish with some Flashlight fish mixed in. Theres also a Glow Discus and a Flashlight Glow in there

excuse the quality of the pic of #72, its the best one I could get

Tanks 57 and 59 have all the breeds of the new Ice Fish breedable

16 in one, 15 in another, with 10 Ice Fish in each, as well as an algae eater

Some mature in about 2 days, others take about 4

@witches I just thought of something. Since you get 1.3 mil per gramma tank, try replacing one grammar with a Borbonius. The both take 3days to grow to adulthood and the Borbonius sells for 1,819,800 at full adult hood for a profit of 319,800 for that fish, or close to 300,000 coins per tank per gramma replaced as profit. The first being the one that replaces the 200k you had to add to buy it, the rest being pure profit added to your tanks. Selling gramma tanks alone won't be enough to make new gramma tank for a while so, might as well jumpstart the profits in the tanks you have. Look at any of my "Money X" tanks to see how it would look/work.

I don't think the devs expect people to be like me and make full Borbonius Anthinas tanks, so I figured a more practical use for them. - AntarRSB

Akwatic, Nice pictures. What did you use to take these screenshots? Do you have to be rooted?

*Sigh* Since they are giving an extra 10% in fishbucks I broke down and spent another $20. However, they seem to keep upping the price of the fish. The ice fish is 68 bucks and the breedable one before was 60. Then, 1.5M coins for ONE fish is crazy. I bought one - I guess I should sell him off first then buy another for show. Much as I like some of the others such as the borch, I am spending my precious bucks on breedables only. I also splurged on a seventh breeding tank - it makes more sense to me to spend 40 bucks on something that can help you get an unlimited number of new fish rather than on a single non-breedable fish.

Ok for Witches. I made a tank that should give you a general idea of what swapping gramma for Borbonius Anthias would look like. Screen shots below.

Ok, so stupid move on my part. Seeing that tapfish was at 50 MB memory I tried to move it to SD. Like, fully move it to SD. Long story short I lost everything. So... I'm starting over. I believe it was mostly due to the fact that I had every fish...every fish all trophies. And every background and just about every decoration. Lesson learned. So, I'm gonna just make themed tanks now. The "Witches" tank was remade so now I present to you, KillZone. Enjoy.

With root explorer. If you do it through settings>application>manage application it only moves the APK not the data. It's fine though most of my tanks were old money tanks I didn't need or category and breeding tanks I never use.

I used Link2sd and it says everything is on the sd card--apk and data. You have to have a partitioned sd card (not hard) but it is great because it isn't just putting what can go on the sd card there, it is using the sd card as part of the phone. Check it out. It was the reason I rooted my phone.

But I do use Root Explorer to get rid of the great big tombstones the game leaves when it crashes.

Well, I still see all your tanks when I visit including Witches with 50 Royal Grammas.

I moved Tapfish to the SD card through Settings on my phone a while ago and as far as I can tell it moved everything - the whole 59MB. I have an unrooted Droid X. -- TapRos

It's weird--I can see it on my laptop, but not on my phone or on the iPad. I need to check and see how the file was saved, I guess. :/

I've had this problem posting pictures to forums in the past. I wish I could remember how to fix it, but I'm guessing that the reason you can see it on your laptop is because that's where the picture is stored.

Well I kept getting ye older storage full message which went away when I ditched the data, and what tanks are you seeing cause I only have 4 ATM? Is KillZone included? Cause I really like that one cause sharks are eating the diver lol

But yeah I rooted for overclock bloatware removal and heap control. And thanks, just picked up Link2SD love it already.

I had that problem too. I just picked up photobucket mobile. With it you can upload on the spot and copy the IMG tags in the links section.
