Two questions about TapFish

Too funny , actually it wasn't that difficult I have a mytouch g4 wich has a great touch screen .... right now I'm on level 74 with 74 tanks and every level up is at 80,000 xp points

That isn't a game--that's an occupation!:p

Is a Mytouch a phone or a tablet? What's the screen size? Do YOU have tiny fingers?
Yikes! I'm only on level 38 with 24 tanks and need 5000 xp btwn levels and it's taking up all my free time!

You won't be disappointed =)

The holiday fish on the iPad version were breedable and the Eagle ray and the Santa Claus fish hybrid had little ornaments hanging off it. I wish they would make the holiday fish breed on this version.

It's a phone made by HTC its about the same size as an itouch or maybe a little bigger

I've only bred the Eagle Rainbow so far (in my FavBreed tank) but I've got the Scribbled EagleRay, Glow EagleRay, Eagle Stingray, Eagle Clown, Trigger EagleRay and Eagle Koi all currently breeding!

I also have 6 Sailfin Anglers growing into adults in my BirdTank...will sell each of them for 92,334 coins with happiness at 90+ !

The game got boring so I cleared data and started over at level 80. Now I'm just gonna work on breeding or something. Feel free to drop by and check out my tutorial and display tanks ;} -AntarRSB

You can check out some of the eagle rays breeds on my first tank they came out today . I don't sell my breeds I inventory them .I'm trying to complete all the trophies.

I'm trying to make tanks for my breeds but it's really tedious work. Finished angler, sailfin, piranha, neon tetra, bumblebee, eagle ray, boxfish and rainbow nohta

Yeah plus you can't even fit all the breeds of one type in one tank anymore. I had all the Clownfish breeds in my Clownin tank but once they added some more breedables, there are more than 25 combinations of each fish.

The Eagle Rays are very cool. The Butterfly Eagle looks like kind of like a weird butterfly.

The breeds are definitely the neatest thing about this game.

Oh yeah--the hybrids are the fun part!

I got a pleasant surprise--they came out with Tapfish2 on the iPad, so I downloaded it, just because I like seeing the fish on the nice big screen. When I did, it asked if I wanted to restore my old game, and there were all my fish, just like they had been suspended in time and not even hungry. The breeding tanks were just as they were before the iPad crashed.

So now I have a ton of tanks to visit every day...

I mention this primarily to tell you that if you lose your phone or drop it in the bay (I did that once) your game is on their servers and can be restored.

Maybe on iPad but I had to start over on android. Also you can get most of a type of breed in one tank if you're smart enough not to duplicate. If you have a bumblebee tank and on it is sailfin...when you make a sailfin tank don't make a bumblebee sailfin.

Wasn't even given that option. But it's cool I have unlimited bucks and coins so I pretty much just make showy tanks now.

Gave on breeding too. I used to do it for money but they lowered the price of sailfin anglers. So I'm back to using bucks to make memorial day fish. 2 mil a tank.

I went that route last night and now I'm at 80 with more bucks and coins than i'll ever need

Any ideas for tanks? I basically bought all the fish, backgrounds, etc but I have more tanks than I know what to do with, I'd be glad to make whatever type of tank somebody wants as I have all the resources to do so

I also have 15 breeding tanks and can afford to speed all of them up, so if somebody wants me to breed something specific I'll be glad to

A couple I like so far are Moonatee and LobVegas, but those are just a couple tanks worth

edit:

also with regards to restoring your game, I don't think manipulating the database file affects that. I think however the iPod/Pad version gives you that option by default, whereas the Android version requires you to go to About Tapfish and then hit the Restore Game button.

The "restore game" option is in the same place on both games.

The iPad version is now Tapfish2, and when *that* game is installed it automatically gives the option to restore an old game.

The Tapfish versions for iPad and Android were identical, except that the iPad version has more fish, having been released earlier. The Android version will catch up as the fish are released.

What I meant about file manipulation and that causing it not to restore--if it were me making the game and I saw games with a million dollars of game currency and I did not have currency sales to match such, I wouldn't restore that game.Maybe it's just me, but I wouldn't.

Looking back at the post, thoug, he says he got bored and deleted the data. That is different.

If I had my choice I might not restore it either, but I don't think the app's programming is setup that way. And I've spent $40 on the game so if I were the developer and saw that someone who had put money in their PayPal account took a shortcut, I would take that into consideration too.

I was just commenting on how the Android app didn't have a popup asking you to restore the game when you start a new one, since I experienced that a month or two back when I restored my phone to factory defaults and re-downloaded the app. I had to go to About Tap Fish but apparently TapFish2 has some different options.

Hopefully it will come to the Android platform! What type of new options and features does it have compared to TapFish?

It was the new version that had the pop-up. I never tried to restore it in the old version--I just saw the option there.

The new version has "limited collectibles" that can only be bred with one other specimen, but yields several different offspring. You keep breeding to see what you get each time. Not sure how it works, as I am waiting for the first off-spring to be born from a clown jelly and a giant jelly.

There is also some tree-frog thing that I did not read closely enough to understand, but you have to get the frog and get another player to give you a fly to attract another frog and it just sounded as if it would consume more time than I am willing to invest ;p.

Other than a new splash screen--and annoying xes by each tank on the pull-down that I am terrified of accidentally hitting, that is all I have noticed different.

They do seem to have a lot of sales on the iPad version, too, even the old one.

Like today, breeding tanks were on sale for 30 fb, but not on the Android version.

Frankly, I didn't want any more breeding tanks on the iPad, ut I would have bought one on Android on sale.

Breeding fish go on sale a lot, too.
