Need to format the sdcard with the Android device, 1st.. Then make a backup with twrp (which will) write to a new folder (it will make), and copy your backups from other sdcard to new folder just made by twrp.. Reboot system (so it finalizes the file creation), then reboot recovery recovery and restore backups as desired..
Twrp doesn't see other backup folders than the one it makes in order to help prevent ppl from flashing wrong backups on a device and bricking it..

How to format SD card ¿ through Android it was in my camera and was originally formatted with PC I see all contents through file manager I even installed lineages off it made a back up of linageos and can see it copied my back up from the PC to that folder and still not seen under restore ?

Format thru Settings - Backup & Reset

ok did not work for me , I had the original stock backed up on my pc, this is what worked, after I created a back up commtio and then what I did is connectected my pc the folder twrp it created I opened it and deleted all in side then took all the contents of the original rom and pasted from my pc back up, booted in recovery and it worked booted back to stock, had the wrong pin on first boot , i went back to recovery and wiped just data, set up as new device:)

should I or will it screw it up?

That's basically what I was saying to do, earlier..

Stock updates:
Don't do it if you have twrp, need stock recovery.
Don't do it if you have Root.
Only do it if you are 100% stock.

Anyway to kill the notification?
There used to be, on much older devices but I'm truly unsure if it'll work on these newer ones.. You could do a Completely Back to Stock process using the Moto FW (Firmware) which will also install stock recovery and all stock updates will be safe.. Actually, I'd recommend that. That way you can do all the updates to the newest one, TWRP & Root your phone (if you wish), make a backup and go from there.. It may take a half hr or so to complete everything but you'll be on the newest updates, no sweat

Surprisingly I was able to kill the notification through notification settings
The actual update.zip is likely sitting in your /cache waiting for you to make the mistake of applying it. Assuming you're rooted, open the /cache and look. If it's there, delete (or safer yet rename it from .zip to something else until sure).

Unsure about Nougat, but on my MXP running MM there's an app named "Motorola Update Services" that you can "Freeze" with Titanium Backup to prevent any future updating from Motorola. Actual package (on mine) is /system/priv-app/3c_ota.apk. See if that exists, and if so you can simply rename that if you don't have the Pro version of TiB.

HTH

Been away from the scene for quite awhile, but still kicking. A few medical things going on, but actively taking care of them. Probably ride out my sick leave & retire once I use it up. Good to see you're still active here

I'm still learning, trying to improve stuff, and actually building ROMs nowadays. I talked SuperR into making the most phenomenal Android Kitchen ever built and he moved to XDA. Lemme know if I can help ya with anything, I'd be happy to..
