Note from the developers:

NOTE: Decrypting data is not currently supported on the Nexus 6P. We will work on decrypt when we have more time to work with the 6P. Until then, you can format data and find and install a boot image with forceencrypt disabled and use TWRP as normal.

Its worth noting that it now works just fine with encryption
