Root TWRP - Spectrum

Hi, I've been putting myself thru the Android School of hard knocks with donated old phones from coworkers and friends. Got to admit that the Spectrum has had me beating my head on my desk. I've rooted,trashed,repaired this one several times. Probably should be arrested for rom abuse. Been looking for custom recovery and trying a few (trashed again). Will this work on Android 4.0.4 V9? If so,correct way to install? The LG software repair tool is getting tired of me.
 
Yes, TWRP will work on V9 as well as the bootloader unlock tool. As the tool states though, you will break bluetooth until you install a custom ROM such as CM.
