Are you still s-on? Probably have to try and flash the kernel separately via fastboot. On PC in the rom zip file if you open it using something like 7-zip, look for the boot.img file and extract it to where you have fastboot tool. Flash rom zip as normal in TWRP, reboot to bootloader, with phone plugged in to PC:
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot reboot
Ah right, sorry should have asked you to be more specific in the first place. What exactly is the error message you see in TWRP then? There can be a few that are the cause of rom install fails.

Checking for a signed package is the default for restores, not installs, so not sure of the sequence here.
i have exactly the same problem on my Samsung tablet.Hi, i am struck almost in the same position. I own a HTC One M8 - Verizon version.
ROOT is clear, S-Off is done.
But when i try installing any ROM i am getting the same error.
Error message reads likee "Could not find 'META-INF/com//google/android/update-binary' in the zip file.
Error installing zip file. "
Please help in getting past through this error. Thanks.
Flash a rom made for the model number of your device and it has to be higher or the same version as the current OS.i have exactly the same problem on my Samsung tablet.
