Hello all,

I've been lurking for a few weeks now & I love the site.

My equipment:
LG Optimus M (Metro PCS) running Froyo
LG Optimus S that I use as a spare for charging a second battery (no service) also with Froyo.

Tweaking & modding my stuff is about my only hobby these days (3 kids). So, long story short, I want to root my M & plan to use the S for a test subject until I feel like I've got the rooting process completely figured out.

I'll be firing off lots of questions soon. Thanks in advance for the help.

Hello and welcome to Android Forums. We have an area just for the users of the M and the S that should prove interesting and informative to you. I suspect you know of these areas but just in case, below is a link to the M area. You will want to click into that area and then give the "All Things Root" link that's toward the top of that page. It's in that root area where you will find all of the root information for your M.
