Help Txt message being denied

Alright so the other day I was downloading an app that I knew would be too much for my phone/memory to handle. That's why I just brought me a new sd card. However I didn't know that if I received a txt message BEFORE I could transfer the app to the sd card the message would fail to appear.

Is there any way I can fix this so it doesn't happen again?

Sorry if this has been asked elsewhere...

I think either move some things including the app to the SD card, or uninstall the app and reinstall it and see if this works.
