Help TXT Messaging Pictures

When I recive a picture message it wont let me look at it in full screen unless I save it in the phone and then open it with the gallery. This really sucks.
Is there a better TXT messaging app than the one that comes with the phone or a solution for this ?

Also wondering why when I send a txt message, the profile picture from facebook wont appear on the txt message, only saved pics contacts on the phone will appear.
