typo?

I am wondering the same thing. This is one of the phones I am considering to replace my outdated Motorola Triumph (Virgin Mobile) and I want to make sure I am watching the correct forum for when rooting info becomes available.

I wouldn't get this phone. It's very slow. And battery life sucks.

Even though it isn't offered directly from Virgin Mobile USA's website anymore, I am seriously looking at the HTC Desire 816. I did some research on the HTC Desire 510 and it's got absolutely TERRIBLE reviews everywhere I read, but the 816 seems to be one of the better Android phones Virgin has offered short of paying out the wazoo for a Samsung S5 (which, upon checking just now, is also no longer carried on their website). The 816 is a little more than I wanted to pay at this time but from everything I've read it is well worth the money.

My wife has the Core Prime and I had a MT Triumph on Virgin. The battery is at least 3x better then the MT. The Core doesn't seem slow either. The specs are decent. 1.2GHz cpu and 2000mAh battery.

Any info on rooting the Core Prime? There are similar models from other providers (i.e. Boost Mobile) with rooting info posted here or at XDA, and it *SEEMS* like it is the exact same phone as the Core from TracFone, but I haven't been able to find any information for the Virgin Mobile version yet. I'm so used to having a rooted/customized phone that I won't buy one unless I know I can root it after I get it home.
