Help U542i3

Dear all,

I have encountered a problem with the G1, whenever i pressed the "Back" button the error code or something will bring me into contacts and showing the "U542i3" , this problem came on and off so what is happening here ? Is it software related or hardware ? Anyway to solve it ?

Does this happen from every program that you exit using the BACK button ?

With most apps. I have used apps that need the virtual keyboard and while i try to close the virtual keyboard by pressing the "back" button the error code comes up and bring me to contacts page.

It might not be the problem with the virtual keyboard, i think its with the back button ?

Oh i just found out the "Menu" button is affected too. while i press the "menu" button the screen shoed "u542i3" on the contact screen tab.

Please Help, its annoying and i could hardly use the phone as it affect the major keys..

Sounds like a serious phone hardware problem ... return the phone for replacement ..
