Root Ubuntdroid 5 Beta 1 released!

Your right, the beta made most text barely visible. I went stock with a custom kernel again, until the theme is fixed up.

It is better though. I can't say how better until it's official release.
 
I have beta 2 download. Unfortunately I forgot my cable and SD card adapter at home. Maybe I'll download straight to the phone...
 
Beta 2 installed. Quad 534! Time to pry open the wallet and buy a real SD card, not this class 2 crap and see if we can't improve even more. Everything still seems to be working too.

I'll have to order one online. I live in rural Georgia for the time being and our gas station doesn't carry them. The nearest book store is 50 miles away. The locals here are still talking about how great the wheel and fire are. :eek:
 
That would certainly do it. I can't see putting $100 of memory in a $49 phone, but that's just me. I'm cheap. I looked online and can get an 8 gig class 10 for about $20 from newegg. I currently have an 8 gig with everything I've ever wanted on it and 5.4 gig left over. Most of my music is on 8 track though.
 
8 gig class 10 makes more sense than a 32 gig. I only use 40 gig on my 250 gig hard drive for my Windows XP, and I use my XP for a lot of stuff. 32 gig... Very unethical to me.
 
Yeah but I'm stupid (tried using another word and it was blocked, ******ed fliters, not even a foul word.) and like having most of the 30GBs of music I have on my computer on my phone too.

As long as the SD card outperforms the phone thats the real issue and with a class 10 you can be sure it will be.
And with the website I linked they are great about returns on defective SD cards so you dont have to worry about being stuck with a bad card.
