Ubuntu for phones :)

I've been waiting for updates on this for what seems ages. How long ago was this announced? A year or so now. Suppose its a big job though. Hope we can dual boot...

Canonical announced some time back that they would NOT be providing this software for installation on existing phones -- but ONLY to OEMs for installation on NEW phones.

This version was claimed to be installed on a Galaxy Nexus -- which is NOT a new phone.

So, if Canonical has reversed their position, and is going to make this software available for download by the rest of us ... this could be promising.

I'm so happy for this, hope all the other distros gonna hop on the bandwagon.
Would be so cool to use a fully-functional Debian on my phone.

Ubuntu is open source like android, so it might not matter what canonical say about provision
