Root Ubuntu? On MARQUEE?

It seems the hardware requirements meet up to what it says. Do you think we might expect this before a dev built final or beta version of ICS/JB. Anyone hopeful on Ubuntu mobile making it to this phone?
 
From my experience Ubuntu has horrid battery management. It might not be the best idea to couple that with a phone that has a known poor battery life.

You'd think it would be better since it is more efficient in many instances.
