Root Ugh. Please help. About to brick ANOTHER phone.

My old Evo V died on me last week so I switched to my other one. unlocked it succesfully and now I'm trying to do the s-off with juopunutBear. When I did it on my other phone it was a smooth process with no problems.

This time, when I ran controlbear, everything was going good and then all of the sudden my phone wasn't connected any more. After it rebooted to go to the juopunutBear screen it was no longer connected to my computer for some reason.

Now when I run ControlBear it says the device isn't connected and it tells me to exit. I cannot get into recovery and my phone only goes to the juopunutbear screen. Idk what to do.
 
I don't know how to help you with your problem but the guys over at the juopunutbear site should be able to help you.
 
I don't know how to fix the problem, but I wouldn't worry. I don't think anyone has actually bricked this phone.

to restore from the jbear screen you just have to reboot the phone in fastboot, connect to pc, run a command prompt from the controlbear folder, and type "controlbear -f" minus the quotations. It'll boot you back to android.
 
I've never heard of anyone permabricking this phone, if you get the timing wrong you end up at the Juopunutbear screen and as blh2012 stated it's very easy to recover. If you have any questions just ask them on the IRC channel, there's always someone available to help you out. Good luck
