Help UK 0800 Number Issue

Just wondering if any UK S3 user has ever had any issuesd with calling 0800 or 0845 numbers from their phone.
I used to be able to call them no problem but now when I type in the number and press the call button the dialler goes blank.

I am on GiffGaff and have plenty of credit for 0845 numbers (0800 numbers are free on GG)

I just want to rule out any issue or settings with the phone before I go through the hassle of checking my sim card in another unlocked phone or replacing the sim altogether.

I had same problem on giffgaff mate. Have u searched for an alternative number? Saynoto0870.com is pretty good :thumbup:
Theres also apps like 0800 Wizard
 
Yeah I've tried saynoto0870, some companies dont have another number listed.
Already running 0800 wizard but doesnt seem to be working, will try uninstall and fresh install.

What did you do to overcome the problem you had with GG, or do you just live with it?

I dont think the BT app will work for me as I am a Virgin Media customer so dont have a BT account
 
Do they still have phone boxes? The only one left in my town clearly states it doesn't accept money or phone cards so I've assumed they did away with them and just left that one for comedy purposes.

I'd love to abuse the works telephone instead of my own, but i only work 12 shifts a month and 6 of them are nights so dont really get the chance!

I cant remember the last time i saw a phone box near where i live!

theres still loads here.. mostly only used by junkies tbh but ive used them to ring for a crisis loan. Its a nightmare standin there listnin to that crappy mozart tune in a queue for an hour waitin for them to answer :(
Oh yeah, unless its an 08 number, its 60p minimum to make a call lol u get the junkies comin up n askin for 60p for the phone box. 60p!!! Could get a cup of tea for that lol :)

No mate, they all said to take handset to a repair centre.
I cleared data from phone app and cleared cache seems to be ok now.

I take it from the junkie comments that your Scottish?
