Help UK o2 Galaxy Kies update failure..

Hi guys..

I`m on a stock 2.2 Rom.. phone is rooted with superoneclick ( I think ) and had the lagfix applied..

I updated Kies at work today and plugged in my phone.. said there was an update!

2.2.1 ???

All went well... phone finished and rebooted..

Now it goes past the splash screen, but never gets to the home screen.. just sits there black.. during the bootup it vibrates once.. then again three times...

I can get into the recovery menu.. but unsure as to whats my best course of action..
I would love to backup my internal sd card before doing any wiping...
What are my options guys??

Never update a rooted phone (the lagfix only make's it worse).

You can recover by going in download mode:
Volume down + home button + power button (hold this till you see the revocery mode)
Reset the phone in recovery using kies (preferrebly odin if you know what your doing)

So I`ve re-rooted... will my lagfix still be active??

Did you get 2.2.1 in the end?
I think you will need to reapply the lagfix but tbh since I got my 2.2.1 (VF UK) via kies I don't see the need for it.
