Hi can someone point me to a uk Orange stock RUU,the down loads dont seem to work for me,its for my daughter she tried rooting and the phone is stuck on a loop.

Sorry for being thick webby62... but do you mean the stock firmware for the GT-i9100, (not, "P", variant), on Orange's latest release, Android 4.0.4, for CSC code ORA?

If so, it is I9100BVLPJ_I9100ORALPJ_ORA.zip (just checked... d/l'ing OK)

Also check that the correct kernel, Siyah S2-v5.0.1 was used to root this firmware as per post #1 of the Rooting Galaxy S2 - Dummies Guide.

Stock Orange firmware for, "P", variant, is I9100PBVLPE_I9100PORALPE_ORA.zip

Rooting is as per my previous post.

Yes, that's OK but you will lose NFC. Do a nandroid, Titanium and efs backups first though... just in case.

Get flashing webby62... stock firmware for the Orange, "P", varaiant, GT-i9100P, has just been released for Jelly Bean, Android 4.1.2. See, here.

If you flash this stock firmware which includes a stock kernel, you will lose root and have to re-root if so desired. You will however, get the NFC capability back.
