UK pre-order

I take it back, yodel delivered at 6.20pm. Very happy with the prime. No problems. Ics update without a hitch!
 
Well, what a change in the last couple of hours!

After only 1 day I am returning the unit to car phone warehouse for a replacement.

I suffer wifi blues, it seemed to work OK yesterday but today even with 2 bars showing it struggles to maintain any connection.

Very dissapointed as they have none in stock so I will have to wait for a replacement. They did state they are aware of wifi issues and so far had a few returned to them.

Still, hopefully the next one will be fine apparently they have moved the wifi bit in newer ones to get a better signal so I hope I get one of them.
 
Just saw they have stock at Amazon. Ordered a new one from there, my faulty one is on the way back to car phone warehouse for refund
 
Wow just looked on amazon.co.uk for a case and noticed their shipping estimate for the prime is currently 10-13 MONTHS???

wow....just...wow.

Thats in error, been there a few days now. You can order and get it dispatched in the normal time frame providing they have stock. Which they did a little while ago. If you notice the product details further down the page are also wrong talking about an Eee Slate B121. :)
 
Amazon. Ordered 17th with free 5 day delivery.......arrived today 19th.

This one works no problem, car phone warehouse already refunded for the one I returned to them.

I re-ordered mine with Amazon on the 21st and it arrived this morning (23rd). Pretty damn quick if you ask me. :)

Now just the pain of waiting 8 hours to play!!!
 
I couldn't wait: I started playing as soon as it let me (about 50 minutes). Neither me or the Prime seem to have suffered any ill effects.

Mine fired up the moment I plugged the charger in, I had to resist and turn it off again. :( I'm going to give it at least 2 hours to pump some life into the battery, maybe longer..

once its at 100% take it off charge and have a play.

im getting battery performance in line with asus's expectations by doing this and running it completely flat a couple of times after I first got it.

The whole 8 hours thing is, in my opinion, a load of bull...

once its at 100%, it won't charge any more so whats the point of waiting any more after that.

as long as you run a couple of complete rundown cycles on the battery it will be fine.
