Help UK Unlocked S3 Which Firmware

Hi all,

I bought my S3 I9300 Sim free from Amazon. Which version of 4.1.2 do I use to reflash it, would I use the BTU version as I'm not locked to any particular carrier?

Also what does BTU stand for?

Lock has nothing to do with anything. That's just which SIM cards you can use.

Its all about the software that's installed now and what the CSC is. BTU is the British unbranded CSC.

Dial *#1234# to find what CSC you have now to ensure you keep in line
 
My csc shows as unknown, so does this mean that I can install the new 4.1.2 btu from Sammobile?
 
You can install any you want to be honest but BTU will probably be best because thats how you'd be identified for UK updates in the future.

No idea why it says unknown though. Thats weird.
