Does anyone else struggle with finding one of these that can do everything well? So someone asked me if there's anything particular I want for Christmas.... I told them I wish I had a really good fast charging station but I've never been able to find one. Every time I find one I think is good, there's always a catch.
It might work with my Galaxy S5 but it won't work with my Garmin nuvi 2557LMT, or the other way around. It might work with those two things, but wont charge one or either at max amperage or might not work with any tablets (which I've been slowly shopping for). I'm always expecting some big "but" or catch at the end of every blog review or customer review I see and I always find a deal breaker.
I don't want to have to use a pile of chargers that all work on different things, I don't want the clutter, the mess, and the hogging of outlets that causes. The only thing these things seem to be good for is charging an army of smartphones, and even if they are capable of that there's either no guarantee that its able to fast charge any device that is capable of it or it'll clearly say it fast charges iphones but only charges androids at 1.0 amp. There's always some catch somewhere that's always a deal breaker. Its maddening! I just want to find one that works without some pause and a "but" coming.
I'm also planning on using a Kentli AA 1.5 lithium recharger (on my Christmas list) with this station if I can find one. So I want to be able to plug a lot of random stuff in it, and not find out several hours later it didn't charge because the station needs to be power cycled, its not detecting something, its not powerful enough or doesn't have a port with enough juice for certain devices so a tablet needs 10 hours, or some other excuse why it didn't work right.
Aren't there any charging stations that could be considered the ultimate charging stations? Multi-port stations that can handle anything you throw at them, hence giving all those ports reason to exist for a single user? (Not just for families with an army of smartphones.) Something that can even handle bigger devices like laptops and tablets would be important (I'm guessing they'd probably be clearly marked and color coded alternate higher voltage ports, positioned away from the standard ports). A good station wouldn't need to just be functional, but it would have to be reliable, well made, not cheap some disposable plastic piece of junk with cheap low bid electronic innards cheaply thrown together by severely underpaid workers.
