Um... where are my apps!?

So, I just blew a bunch of money on a Droid Razr Maxx, signed into google and I have NO apps!? None of the apps that I have purchased are there. What the hell?

I went into the market and clicked auto update and update over wifi. NOTHING.
This is bull.

Any ideas what happened here? I swapped the sim card out from my nexus

Yup. It wants me to pay for tweet caster. I already did this, among other things. I went to the play store on my computer and clicked on a random game, install and a box popped up asking what device I wanted to send the app to. The razr was listed.

Rebooted the phone.

Checked my account.

The only thing I did not do was put that stupid pin number in for backup assistant but I thought that was for verizon.

There are 5 devices on my play account

I just got google music to sync. All my tunes are there, but my apps still are not

Am I having this problem because I pulled the sim card from my nexus and put it in the new razr?

I think I will be returning this phone and sticking with the nexus here in a few minutes. And chew them out for charging the restocking fee.

May just terminate my other accounts too. I give up

Do you have multiple gmail accounts set up in the phone? If so, did you set the phone up to use the same default email add on the nexus? If you have multiple accounts set up and did not use the same one add the default then in play store press the menu button and select the account that the apps were purchased under. When I got my MAXX I used my other private gmail hosted domain account as primary and put my original gmail as a secondary and by doing this I was able to download all my purchased apps. :D

Posts like this is why I love this site. ;)

I posted in a thread a while back how long I'd had android phones and didn't know you could drag down the notification bar to open email. I used to always get the notification, open the app, open the email.

Also I didn't know till someone else posted that there was a plastic film on the back of the razr maxx.

Everyone here loves a good laugh. Please share what you did (since someone here could potentially avoid the issue later)

You know in the market, that little band under my apps where it reads "Installed" and "All"

Well, I did not scroll over to "All" :o

I did, however, blame gingerbread :D
Been using ICS for the past 6 months, so I guess that was my excuse :)

HAHA!! When I got my MAXX after having the Droid X, I think I did the same thing. Somehow I figured it out, but, yeah, I see how one can make that mistake with the new format. :D

Just curious... is it different on ICS???

If not, that's fine, I've got no problem blaming GB ;):D

If it makes you feel better, I have had to show alot of people to scroll over to "all" in the market when they got a new phone and were trying to load their old apps.

Um I didn't know that either till I read this! That would probably explain all the little bubbles on the back huh. Does it serve a purpose or just for protection when shipping. Guess I am asking did you remove it? I have a case on the Maxx. Boy do I feel dumb.

I suggest you remove it, so it doesn't melt to the back if it happens to get hot.

:D

I did lol and thank you! Also told the other Maxx owner in the house too. We thought the Kevlar felt odd but didn't want to go picking at it...until I saw this post. Thank you! I will now pass this information on to another new owner of the Maxx. Just in case....
