UMA / Signal boost

Hi folks,
I have a UK Samsung Galaxy SIII on it's way to me. I live in the back of beyond with no cell/mobile signal whatsoever. My old Blackberry has something called UMA which allows me to text/call via my home wifi connection. My daughters SII has a similar system called 'Signal Boost' .

To my knowledge the SIII does not have this feature. Is there an app out there that could give me this ability ?

many thanks

Country - UK
Carrier - Orange
Phone - Galaxy SIII (not the 4G LTE version)

In the US, TMobile had UMA. Our Nokia 6085, BB Pearl Flip, and the SGS4G have it.
I rooted the SGS, so no longer there, and the Nexus S doesn't have it.
Since you can buy phones and choose carrier, the new phones might not have it.

Most people here use Google voice.
