I don't get it, the box says 8gb Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 and the unit itself is nowhere near that...Samsung must do the same math as Congress.

Not as bad as the 64gb Surface Pro with 23gb free out of the box.

Is this your first computer/tablet/smartphone purchase?

At least you have a card slot, unlike the Nexus.

Nothing wrong with that. If you buy a PC with a 500GB drive part of it is also used for the operating system and other software. Same goes for tablets...

Its used for the Android OS, The file system, Stock apps, wallpapers and all that stuff...

Go to settings/Storage and you can see exactly what is being used for device memory and how much memory left on SD card. My Note II has three times the memory the Tab 2 has.
