Unable to add a contact or an additional number

Stevex998

Newbie
SGS+, GB 2.3.3. I'm unable to add a contact on my phone unless I do it via Google contacts on my laptop and I if I need to add a second phone number to a contact I can't do it through the phone, only as above. I can't see this as being normal but damned if I can work it out. If i go to contacts>menu there is no choice to 'add contact'.
Any advice, thanks?

When you go to Contacts, don't you see a + sign on the top left side of screen (near the search bar)?

Click this + and see if it works for you. Also from your call logs, you can long press on any number to Add to Contacts.

Ahh, thanks very much Ijaz; any idea how I add an extra number to an existing contact if the number to be added isn't in the call logs?

That's also easy to do:

1) Goto Contacts and click on the contact you want to add a phone number.

2) When you are viewing that contact, Press Menu Key (the left soft button) and select "Edit"

3) Look for a + sign (green color) near the already stored phone number.

4) Click + sign and it will give you options to add a Work or Home phone number.

5) Add a new number and finally click "Save"

Feel free to explore around, Android is easy to operate OS. If you can't find anything, ask here :)
