Help Unable to add photos of my friends to my contacts

Hi

I've been trying to add photos of my friends to their contacts on my Desire Z, but my phone won't allow me to do it.

What happens when I find the photo I want, I crop it and then when I press SAVE the screen goes white and nothing happens. It doesn't matter whether I'm creating a new contact or whether I'm adding or changing a photo on an existing contact.

I also thought it might be the spaces in the photos name (ie Catherine Contact Pic.jpg), so I removed the spaces from the photos name (ie CatherineContactPic.jpg), but that didn't make any difference.

None of my contacts are on my Sim Card or are through Google, they are all set to Phone.

Can anyone help please?
