Unable to browse using browser

Hi,

This is Ravi.

I just now bought a new Anderoid mobile. I am unable to access internet using default browser. I am now using the internet only through the opera mini installed in it. Guys! Please help in this.

I have an internet pack activated ( mobile office) in it. I can get emails and I am able to do all the things exept the internet access through the browser. please do the needfull.

Do I have to do any changes in the settings?

Hello and welcome to the forums, puyal Ravi.

Is the Opera Mini browser set as the default browser? Go into that browser's settings menu and find words such as, "make opera default," etc. Then clear the checkbox if it is in fact checked.

Also, it is possible that the icon for the default browser is not properly associated with the browser's apk file. I'm wondering if your device is new, or did you acquire it pre-owned/used. It seems unusual for a stock app such as the default browser to not function.

I'd first try a simple reboot of the device after clearing data and cache in the default browser app. Go to menu > settings > applications > manage applications > menu > sort by size. Then find the default browser on the list and click the "clear cache" and "clear data" buttons.

Then reboot.

I am unable to access internet using default browser.

Details always help. What does the browser do? What doesn't it do (specifically)? Any error messages? Does the browser even launch? Which device?
