Unable to connect my Honor 5x to my laptop

Ok so wanted to put some music on my 5x so i downloaded HiSuite installed it and it does not recognize my phone and yes activated usb debug and allow HiSuite to use HDB, any ideas would be much appreciated..
Other than that i love the phone just had it a week..

HiSuite is useless just use windows explorer
If the phone doesn't show on the pc, slide the pull down and choose files, now you can see the files in explorer
